On behalf of St Finn Barr’s Catholic Primary School, I welcome you to our beautiful School. At St Finn Barr’s we are proud of all that our School has to offer. We have large and beautiful grounds, well-resourced and modern teaching spaces and a committed and caring staff.

At St Finn Barr’s our Mission is to “nurture and inspire all academically, spiritually and physically”. We encourage high levels of learning of all, and have a focus on providing quality and individualised Catholic education to our students.

Our School follows in the tradition of the Presentation Sisters who founded St Finn Barr’s in 1894. We follow in the footsteps of Nano Nagle and the Presentation Sisters and focus on showing compassion, love, empathy, service and reconciliation to all.

We understand the importance of parents as the first and most important educators of their children and as a community, we encourage all families to be involved in our school. We know that both open and honest communication between home and school and parent involvement in education are significantly important for each child’s success in school.

I invite you to continue to explore our website and to contact our School for any further information. We would love to show you around our beautiful School.

Damien Taylor

Principal

Acknowledgement of Country

St Finn Barr’s Catholic School is located on the Country of the Tayarinutipana, the Panina and the Litarimirina people of the Stoney Creek Nations, who belong to the land above the floodplains where the three rivers, kanamaluka, plipatumila and laykila meet. We acknowledge and deeply respect the Palawa people, the Tasmanian Aboriginal Community, and all Elders past and present. We are committed to learning alongside our students and community in this place and support the continued sharing of knowledge and Culture.
